Hailsham Festival Competition Winner

Roselands Infants School triumphant in Festival Competition!

The Hailsham Festival has been running now for 13 years. In each of those Festivals there has been a popular 30-line limit competition.

This year that was expanded by the Festival Committee to include two more sections, one for Secondary Age Children and the other for Primary.

Even though entries were received from as far away as Lewes, Roselands pupil Sienna Cornford was awarded first place in the Primary competition. A fantastic achievement!

Sienna was presented with a Certificate to mark her achievement, and a free copy of the Anthology { in which all of the winners across all the Festival competitions are included} by Pam Robinson, Deputy Chair of the Festival, and Gareth Jones, Lead Committee member with oversight of the short story events. Sienna also received a book token to the value of £20.

The presentations took place in a special assembly where Sienna was congratulated on her High Achievement and for being a fine Ambassador of the School.

Even more exciting is that the Anthology is now available on Amazon as a paperback and an e-book so Sienna is, at a very young age, properly in print!

Congratulations to all concerned and role on next years exciting Festival Creative Competitions!
