Meet Isaac, an Australian Labradoodle who is joining us at Stafford every other week to hear children read. Isaac comes into school with his owner Tony and visits our library where select children come and read their books to him and discuss the stories. Isaac is very gentle, loves strokes and often lies down to fully enjoy the stories. Next term we hope that Isaac will be able to join us for an assembly so that we can find out more about this scheme which is run by the local charity Canine Concern – www.canineconcern.co.uk/get-involved/read-to-dogs
You may see Isaac in and around school in his Canine Concern Tabard so do say hello but always remember, as with any dog, to ask the their owner before you stroke.
