This year, Year 5 took part in the Big Sing which offered our pupils the opportunity to perform alongside other schools and an adult choir. Whilst learning the songs, Year 5 were visited by a vocal coach to help them on their way and teach them some actions to support their learning of an array of songs. It has been wonderful to hear how the children have progressed with the songs since the end of September and seen their enjoyment and self-confidence grow. A big thank you to the Year 5 teachers for their support in teaching the children their songs.
On Wednesday 28th November, over sixty Year 5 children headed to King’s Church, for their rehearsal. This gave the children the opportunity to get used to the staging, singing with other choirs and being accompanied by a live band. It was wonderful to then see the children who came to perform for the evening concert. The smiles on their faces and seeing how confidently they performed left all of the adults feeling immensely proud. Well done Year 5 and thank you for all of your hard work learning the songs.
A thank you to all the adults who supported the visit, during the day, and a special thank you to Mrs Bradley, Mrs Lloyd, Ms Markides, Miss Perry, Miss Philo and Miss Taylor who came and supported during the evening performance.
